Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.® chapters are addressing the issue of childhood hunger by implementing a local weekly service program focused on providing “Power Packs” for kids to eat over the weekend. Rho Mu Omega Chapter and DC Pearls III Foundation will be servicing Barnard Elementary School.
Childhood hunger is a growing issue as 16 million American kids struggle with hunger and food insecurity each year. “Power Packs” will include non-perishable food items for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. A minimum donation of only $25 will help us provide Power Packs to five (5) elementary school students. All donations will go towards purchasing foods for the program.
