PMQ Movie Night - The Great Debaters

Grab your favorite snacks and a comfortable chair and join the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. on Zoom for a night of VIRTUAL fun, featuring The Great Debaters. The event is opened to the public and admission is only $10, with all donations supporting the DC Pearls III Foundation Scholarship Endowment in association with our 2021 HBCU Impact Week.

Marshall, Texas is home to Wiley College, where, in 1935-36, inspired by the Harlem Renaissance and his clandestine work as a union organizer, Professor Melvin Tolson coaches the debate team to a nearly-undefeated season that sees the first debate between U.S. students from white and Negro colleges and ends with an invitation to face Harvard University's national champions.
