Raquel Simone Thomas: 2018-19 DC Pearls III Pearl Ball Debutante

Raquel Simone Thomas was born on April 12, 2001 and is the daughter of Marion C. Thomas Jr. & Claudette McFarland Winstead-Thomas. Raquel is a senior at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md.. A lady of class and distinction, Raquel is an honor student who aspires to be a physician and an entrepreneur. Raquel is currently: Vice President of Our Lady of Good Counsel Student Body/Government; a member of the National Honor Society and a member of Varsity Debate team therein receiving numerous performance accolades. Raquel currently serves as a Campus Ministry Leader at Our Lady of Good Counsel and has served as an Assistant Catechist at Resurrection Catholic Church. Raquel is also a member of numerous clubs and organizations including Jack and Jill of America Inc., Columbia, Md. Chapter wherein she has held several positions. In her spare time Raquel volunteers with local institutions assisting with the mentally challenged and incapacitated as well as volunteering at local animal shelters. Raquel likes to relax by playing the piano, drawing, horseback riding and playing soccer. Raquel plans to attend College in the Fall of 2019 at either NYU or Boston University.
